I also tasted it with grilled sirloin, steamed sweet potatoes and mixed vegetables. While there is no indication of astringency on first tasting, when drunk while eating a big, medium-rare steak, there is just enough "bite" to cut through the fattiness of the sirloin. Really, an amazingly, versatile little wine.
